'YTN'은 긴급 속보에서 "대전 메르스 의심 환자가 확진 판정을 받은 환자가 아니여서 보건 당국은 메르스에 의한 사망인지 여부를 확인 중"이라고 보도했다.
'이데일리'는 "이 환자가 3일 급성폐렴 증상으로 사망했고, 지난달 28일부터 30일까지 대전 첫 메르스 확진 환자가 치료를 받았던 곳"이라고 보도했다.
한편 숨진 대전 메르스 환자가 메르스 확진 판정을 받을 경우 최초 3차 감염 사망자로 기록된다. 현재까지 메르스 사망자는 모두 2명이다.
