질병관리본부는 1일 지난 2014년 6월부터 중남미의 도미니카공화국에 살다가 입국한 28살 여성이 지난 30일 지카 바이러스 감염 확진판정을 받았다고 밝혔다.
이 여성은 1년 동안 도미니카 공화국에 살다가 미국과 대만을 거쳐 지난 23일 입국했다. 나흘 뒤인 27일부터 발진, 관절통, 근육통, 결막염 등 지카 바이러스 감염 증상이 생겨 이틀 뒤인 29일 서울대병원에 내원해 의심 사례로 신고됐다. 질병관리본부 관계자는 “이 여성은 임신부는 아니며, 증상이 심하지는 않지만 입원 검사를 권고하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
