코로나19(신종 코로나바이러스) 확산으로 전 세계 곳곳에서 수많은 사람들의 평온했던 일상이 흔들렸어도 삶은 계속되는 법이다.
전국에 이동금지령이 내려진 이탈리아에서 주민들이 창밖에 나와 노래를 부르고, 악기를 연주하고, 때로는 아름다운 화음으로 함께 합창을 하는 모습이 트위터에 속속 공유되고 있다.
롤링스톤 보도에 따르면, 로마에서 활동하는 한 악단은 13일 저녁 6시에 플래시몹을 예고하며 시민들에게 창문을 열어 무엇으로든 ‘소리를 내달라’고 요청하기도 했다.
”악보를 볼 줄 아는지, 악기를 연주할 수 있거나 가지고 있는지는 중요하지 않습니다.” 이들이 페이스북 페이지에 적었다.
″중요한 건 우리가 안전함을 느낄 수 있도록 하는 겁니다. 지금 같은 때에 음악이야말로 우리의 마음을 달래줄 최고의 약이죠. 침묵을 깨봅시다! 완벽하지 않아도 좋아요.”
좀처럼 전례를 찾기 어려운 ‘비상한’ 시기이지만, 사람들은 이렇게 조금씩 마음을 모으고 있다.
