기후변화에 대한 적극적인 대응을 촉구하기 위해 금요일(20일) 수많은 시민들이 세계 곳곳에서 거리로 쏟아져나왔다.
호주에서 미국, 독일에서 케냐에 이르기까지 시위가 열린 가운데 기발한 구호가 적힌 팻말을 준비한 사람들도 많았다. 어떤 이들은 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령 같은 정치인들을 겨냥했고, 다른 사람들은 현재의 기후변화 위기를 고발하는 문구를 적었다.
이번 시위는 전 세계 150여개국에서 진행됐다. 한국에서는 21일 오후 3시부터 서울 대학로 마로니에 공원 앞에서 ‘기후위기 비상행동’ 집회가 열릴 예정이다. 자세한 내용은 홈페이지를 참고하자.
