'강아지 깔때기'는 상처가 있거나 수술을 한 강아지가 상처 부위를 핥지 못하도록 목에 씌우는 도구다. 미국에서는 착용 후 수치스러운 듯한 표정을 짓는 반려견들 때문에 '수치 깔때기'(Cone of Shame)로 불리기도 한다.

예술가이자 동물 보호 센터 봉사자인 에린 아인벤더는 최근 강아지들을 위해 '깔때기'를 아름답게 꾸미기 시작했다. 강아지 입양률을 높이고, 중성화 수술의 중요성을 알리기 위해서였다.

아인벤더는 '강아지 깔때기'를 멋지게 꾸민 뒤, 입양을 기다리는 강아지들에 씌워 사진을 찍었다.
